The Llama Lady….

Hello, I’m Makayla. Yes, the llama lady….

I wanted to hop on here and introduce myself. I grew up in my grandmother’s garden growing vegetables and tending to flowers. In whatever downtime I have I enjoy exploring Alaska’s beautiful outdoors in as many ways as possible.

Growing up and in the local 4-H program I was blessed to be able to raise an assortment of different animals, yet I always dreamt of raising llamas. I felt they were one of the most versatile and unique farm animals. Throughout my many years in 4-H I was never able to locate a llama for sale in Alaska.

Years later as an adult, still passionate about agriculture I found myself on a mission to make that childhood dream come true. Although now I have a deeper understanding as to why I couldn’t find a llama for sale in a nearly decade-long search.

I am greatly looking forward to sharing our llamas, the farm, and my passion for Alaskan agriculture with you.
